Located 20 minutes east of the Cedar Rapids, Iowa metro area, the city of Anamosa and the surrounding area is best known for its landscape of rolling hills that inspired and were captured in the works of American Artist Grant Wood in the 1930s.  Wood grew up and lived in Anamosa and the surrounding area, and his trademark style of painting reflects the serenity of this beautiful region.

Anamosa, located in Jones County, Iowa, was incorporated as a city in 1877.  It has a current population of approximately 5,600 residents.  The downtown area boasts a wealth of local artisans and merchants, and there is something for everyone.

Grant Ridge Estates is a new 60-acre development located within the city limits of Anamosa and includes such amenities as paved streets, city water and garbage pickup.  Situated on the east side of Anamosa on Hwy 64, Grant Ridge is within a mile of shopping, schools, hospital and four-lane Hwy 151.  The development consists of 24 lots ranging in size from 1.0 to 3.5 acres, all nestled into the rolling hills.  The development also has three ponds scattered among the parcels (see map).
